Maike & Melanie – Frisian freedom

How in sync can you be with a couple? With Maike and Melli, the answer was a resounding yes!

Capturing these two lovely souls on their wedding day felt less like work and more like being a friend, helping them create memories of their special day.

I was deeply honored to be the first to see their wedding dresses, which moved me immensely. After their civil ceremony, a loud car convoy made its way through the village, celebrating their union before a short break at home.

Since we had planned the day so well ahead of time, Maike and Melli even had a chance to kick back for a bit before heading to Aurich Castle for their couple shoot.

On the way to the location, we made a quick stop at the Upstalsboom, the iconic symbol of Frisian freedom, to capture a few more couple shots.

The historical significance of the site as an ancient assembly place for Frisian chieftains couldn’t have been a more fitting backdrop for such a momentous occasion.

The day continued with good food, great moods, and celebrations surrounded by loved ones.
